N&C’s view, RM’s problems
This is a sector where the main players have been using Revenue Management for a long time. There are many specific features: a high concentration of competition in key areas (railway stations, airports), a floating inventory with fleet renewals in waves, a complex pricing model including rental periods, fixed mileage rates, and numerous options. Despite this, the RM levers are fairly classic, with forecasts, optimization of rental periods, dynamic pricing, and BtoB / BtoC arbitration.
The missions carried out
We have to improve our practices and tools in a market where the historical players can be shaken up by new entrants, sometimes low cost.
- Training of teams
- Modeling of the demand
- Adjustment of pricing levers (km degressive, rental days, etc.) – Alerts
- Use of competition data
- Adaptation of Revenue Management KPIs

of Potential
A sector that has been doing RM for a long time and that is highly eligible for RM, Pricing, and IR. A certain maturity, but still a lot of potentials if we move away from a copy-paste policy of the competition.
